“Our son very much enjoyed a year with Little Sprouts Bilingual Daycare. He was three years old and recently adopted from China, and it is important to us for him to keep and develop his original language, while having him feel safe and loved. And we wanted him in a place where the care is kind, the other kids are nice and well behaved, and where they get outside in the fresh air every day. Little Sprouts provides all of that. The teacher-student ratio is low, there are different activities geared towards developing skills for preschool & kindergarten, and the music class is a nice bonus. Our son made friends there, and was happy every day. Emily and the other teachers are sensitive to his needs, and seem to know all the children well. Our son understands more Mandarin all the time, and is pleased with his own self-discovery of his bilingual abilities. Now he will go to Kindergarten, with a good foundation from Little Sprouts. We feel very lucky to have found such a beneficial daycare for our son.”

“Our family was so lucky to have our son at Little Sprouts from the time he was a year old until he started kindergarten. Throughout his time there, he received excellent care that was responsive to his developmental stage and his unique personality. Emily and the other teachers were always kind, patient, attentive, and creative in their interactions with the kids. We are also so grateful for the language boost he received in the truly bilingual environment, and Emily also offers a clear, well-organized curriculum that includes science, art, movement, and play every day. The children formed a strong, tight group, and I loved that my son got experience playing with kids of various ages—looking up to the big kids until he become one himself, then learning how to play gently with little ones. Little Sprouts was absolutely perfect for our family. We never doubted that our son was in a great place for him to learn and grow socially, culturally, physically, and academically. Thanks to Little Sprouts for setting him up for a very successful transition to kindergarten!”

“Emily is fantastic, honestly. She’s really responsive to the kids and their needs. She always has something nice to say about Liam when I pick him up~ either his personality, or something funny he did during the day, or a new word or thing he’s learned to do, or an interaction with one of the other kids. He is constantly surprising me with things he’s learned. At 20 months, he’s picked up an amazing amount of Mandarin. He understands a lot, and is starting to put sentences together as well. When Liam started daycare over a year ago, he was the “baby” and I think he really benefited from socializing with slightly older kids. He eats anything and everything, and does “clean up” with toys when asked. I credit Emily for those, particularly. Now that the kids are older, they’re doing a lot of outdoor play and sensory play. They do a lot of art as well, and a music class, which Liam loves. He’s very happy at Emily’s and that makes it so much easier, as a parent, to leave him for the day.”

“My older daughter was with Ms. Emily for over three years and my younger daughter for over two years. Little Sprout Bilingual Daycare was everything a parent could ask for in a childcare setting! The girls loved going to Little Sprouts and loved their teachers very much! I could leave for work knowing that they were in a safe, loving, nurturing learning environment. Ms. Emily sends out weekly emails with learning plan calendars so that parents are aware of what their little ones are learning about during the day. The girls were also able to learn Chinese during their time at Little Sprouts, which was an incredible bonus!!! The girls were very sad to leave Little Sprouts when we moved out of the area. I highly recommend Ms. Emily and Little Sprouts Bilingual Day Care and our family is forever grateful for the beautiful years our children grew, learned, loved, and played there.”

“Little Sprout has been a wonderful extension of our family since we first enrolled our son when he was 18 months old in March 2011. While our son has moved on to enroll at another daycare in Issaquah, he continues to benefit from their care, love, education and attention. Both my husband and I are educated working professionals in demanding professions and have expectations that our child is cared for with the same level of attention, love and discipline that we expend when caring for him. The teacher has enriched Jonah’s life beyond what we expected. When we first explored care options for our child, we were looking for a balance of quality care, convenient location to work and home, and support for the emotional and social development of our son, and an environment that was an extension of our family values (respect of others, appreciation for diversity in life, and the cultivation of curiosity to learn). Little Sprout has exceeded our expectations all while adding special attention that can only take place in a home daycare setting. Our child has learned many social skills that have helped shape his personality and confidence today. He has enjoyed attending Little Sprout and meeting great friends. We found Little Sprout to be a wonderful part of the development of our child.”
